About the Role

Position Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Sales Manager – Apparel Division to lead and expand our fashion export business. This role will be responsible for driving international sales, building client relationships, identifying new markets, and managing a growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fashion sales, a deep understanding of international markets, and the ability to turn opportunities into sustainable growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for apparel exports in alignment with company goals.

  • Identify, approach, and secure new international clients and distribution partners.

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and provide exceptional service.

  • Collaborate with product and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor global apparel market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients and partners.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a small sales team to achieve and exceed targets.

  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for senior management.

Requirements

  • Proven track record (5+ years) in apparel sales, fashion exports, or international business development.

  • Strong knowledge of the apparel industry, including sourcing, merchandising, and global distribution.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with multicultural stakeholders.

  • Business-level English required; proficiency in Japanese is highly advantageous.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Management, International Trade, or related field.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Experience in international logistics, trade compliance, or e-commerce is a plus.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven sales or business development experience in the apparel, textiles, or fashion industry (international trade experience preferred).

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of global apparel markets, supply chain, and export/import practices.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

    • Strong ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.

    • Proficiency in sales planning, forecasting, and target achievement.

  • Language: Business-level English required; Japanese proficiency is an advantage.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).

  • Mindset: Results-driven, proactive, and adaptable to working in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.

  • Other: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for client meetings, trade shows, and market expansion.
